In this month's mailbag: Mark Nibbelink still resides in Austin, Texas, and is presently seeking fame and fortune putting his geology degree to work. He is drilling some horizontal wells using the latest technology. Sounds like his timing couldn't be better if he actually makes a find.
Aaron Budnitz has a solo law practice in Winthrop, Mass.,where he is presently participating in the great new growth industry of real estate workouts and consulting.
Peter Farr reigns over a household inhabited by himself and his cat and dog in Hyde Park, Vt., where he's lived for seven years. Eight miles north of Stowe, Peter does a fair amount of skiing and mountain biking when he's not earning a living making crew oars.
Dan Clouse his wife, Adele, and their three children (Dan, write and let us know their names and ages!) reside in Tacoma, Wash. Dan is a professor at the University of Puget Sound, where he teaches Spanish.
Buck Allen, sporting a handlebar mustache, is a municipal judge in Vail, Colo., where he exercises a creative approach to sentencing. In addition to a fine, a defendant may be assessed cans of food for the needy, and juveniles are assigned essays to write about the circumstances which led to their offenses.
James Day, for the past six years the principal viola for the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, spends his summers with the Florida Festival Orchestra in Fort Lauderdale. He was principal viola and soloist with La Sinfonia de Ste-Foy in Quebec and also was a principal viola with L'Orchestre Symphonique de Quebec. He has also played with the North Carolina Symphony, Vermont Symphony and, most recently, as soloist with the Warminster Symphony at Log Junior College in Warminster, Pa.
