By now all alumni should have received an issue or two of Dartmouth Life, a new college publication designed to cover a variety of areas of campus life with both news and issues of immediate interest. This new forum evolved from Dartmouth Currents, a periodical that has been sent in recent years to volunteers active in Dartmouth work. If the new publication has a substantial relationship to the well-written and informative Currents, it will certainly be worth the attention of all of us. This expansion of circulation of a current events newsletter is the result of a strong recommendation of the Public Affairs Advisory Committee, which was mentioned a couple of months back.
A clipping from the New London, N.H., newspaper told the sad news of the death of Lois Holmes, wife of Bob Holmes, in late December. It was clear that Lois will be missed by her community as well as by Bob and their sons and grandchildren.
The last Class Newsletter brought all of us up to date on other information about classmates that is now available; limitations of space in the Alumni Magazine make it impractical to repeat such news here. Between the Newsletter and this column, we hope that '52s will be able to stay informed of their friends and colleagues.
