Yes, there is still an alumni parade on the Friday of Homecoming Weekend, and, yes, they still pile the bonfire high. (It's the only one of the year.) And, as has been the case for 30 years now, members of the class of 1966 marched proudly in the parade this past October, on the eve of gridiron victory over Cornell.

And Homecoming was the occasion for another 1966 mini-reunion. Not surprisingly, fathers of current Dartmouth students made up the majority of the group.

New Class President Bob Serenbetz, the source of this special report, attended with wife Karen and daughter Kate, a senior at Tabor Academy in New Jersey, and spent plenty of time with Gregg, a Big Green junior. After rising to group president of the American Chicle Division of giant Warner Lambert, Bob is exploring more entrepreneurial opportunities with smaller firms. Karen, a trained nurse, is an active volunteer for healthrelated organizations.

Paul and Margo Doscher hosted '66ers after the bonfire Friday night at their Norwich, Vt., home. After a successful stint as development director for Tuck School, Paul has a new position. Details soon.

Saturday morning, following a well-attended class meeting at which Head Agent Jim Lustenader discussed plans for the 1992 Alumni Fund Drive, there was a pre-football tailgate in front of Sphinx. By the way, we can all be jusdy proud of our 1991 25th Reunion record: $1,121,966 (the fifth-highest class contribution ever) and participation from 449 of us. Terrific.

At the football game Rich and Debbie Kaiser watched proudly as their son, David, a junior, directed the band as a student leader. Other classmates visiting with their student offspring were Hector Motroni, Gerry Paul, Gerry LaMontagne (whose son is a starting defensive lineman), George Trumbull, Bob Spence, and Edjereb, who has two daughters at Dartmouth.

The White Goose Inn up the river in Orford was the scene of Saturday night's class dinner. Among the 30 or so in attendance was Elaine Anderson '92, representing Alan, our indefatigable newsletter editor, and her West Coast family. Also spotted during the week- end were Irv Burkholder, Lee Sandler, Gus Southworth, Willy Bushman, Steve Lanfer, Lance Tapley, and Pete Orbanowski.

Not at the mini-reunion, but always working hard for the class, was Class Treasurer Bill Higgins of Cincinnati. After long stints with large investment and banking firms, Bill is now president of Sena Weller Rohs Williams Inc., which manages a $700 million investment portfolio. Bill's wife, Jane, works in market research, and they have three children: Molly '91, now in Kidder Peabody's investment banking training program in N.Y.C.; Mark, a junior at Indiana University; and John, a senior at Indian Hills High School.

Harry Lowd, director of the New London Connecticut Hospital Association, has been elected U.S. co-chairman of the Northeast Canadian/American Health Council. This group, encompassing six states and five provinces, is dedicated to improving communication between health professionals, institutes, and government in the region and examining major healthcare issues.

Keep us posted.
