One of the penalties for not communicating any news to your secretary is having to read my own findings about who all is still out there. My latest count shows that we have 62 survivors. These include eight doctors and only two lawyers. Maybe somebody will bring a class action suit charging the doctors with discrimination. I feel sure that there was a time when the numbers were even or tilted the other way.

Eight of you live in Florida, and are therefore believed to be wealthy. You have no difficulty in affording the trip to Hanover, and it will give you a virtuous excuse for escaping the Florida summer heat. Sixteen of you already live in New England and should have no travel problems. Throw in about a dozen who live in New York City and its suburbs on both sides of the Fludson River, and a sub- stantial part of our group is accounted for.

I noted the other day that some great admirer of our class started sending out signals several years ago. Of course it was in code, but not very hard to decipher. The final four digits of the telephone number are 7024. What other message can these digits possibly have but to point out to the world the great significance of the 70th Reunion of the fabulous class of 1924?
