64 A lot of news this month! Willard Cook reports that he lives in Sheridan, Wyo., near Kent Stockton. Willard runs die local Ford agency and has two daughters at Dartmouth, as well as being the Masters Division State Handball Champion. Willard sent me a newspaper article which shows that another classmate of ours, Dr. Jon Herschler (Wyo.), a prominent eye surgeon, is seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. Representative in Congress. Jon feels that, as a physician, he can add needed expertise to a number of issues, including the important U.S. health care issue. We wish you good luck, Jon.

Lou Goodman, Dean of the School of International Service at American University, was elected president of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA). The APSIA is a consortium of the nation's 13 leading graduate schools of international affairs and is responsible for the training of many of America's most influential scholars on international affairs and foreign policy. Lou has been a member of the faculties at Yale, Georgetown, Princeton, and North-western and is a specialist in international influences on national development in Latin America. He has authored at least ten books. Lou and his wife, Nancy, who is a psychotherapist specializing in "At Risk Youth," have been married for 27 years. They live in Bethesda, Md. and have two grown daughters who are seeking interesting independent careers. Congratulations, Lou!

Michael P. Krieger recently received his board certification from the American Board of Electroencephalography and Neurophysiology. That uses my entire 600-word limit, so I can't tell you anything more about Mike except that he is practicing as the medical director at Carson-Tahoe Hospital and at the Sleep Disorders Medicine Laboratory at Sparks Family Hospital.

Finally, more good news for the class of 1964! Of the 31 of our classmates whose children applied for the class of 1996, 18, or 58 percent (approximately 2 1/2 times the average), were accepted, and 15 are coming. These include Todd Aaron, son of Roger; Deborah Bailin, daughter of Michael; Berit Campion, son of Thomas; Christopher Clay, son of Henry; Michael Curran, son of William; Scott Denham, son of Bruce; Peter Evans, son of Brad; Carrie Freeman, daughter of Robert; Michael McCord, son of Herbert; Jonathan Meltzer, son of Jay; Steven Newman, son of Robert; Joshua Payne, son of Richard; Derek Shandell, son of Jeffirey; Chandra Stanley, daughter of Furman; and Reid Veto, son of Eugene.

Congratulations to all of you, and I hope to see you in Hanover when you're visiting the class of 1996.

Do not forget that our 30th Reunion is coming in June 1993. Plan for it!
