The Clinton administration announced that it was taking on Republican Bill Frenzel '50, T'51 to help campaign for NAFTA. Frenzel is a former tenterm congressman who served 15 years on the Ways and Means Committee before retiring in 1991. He will head up the effort to persuade fellow Republicans to support the pact.

Frenzel is now a guest scholar in governmental studies at the Brookings Institution. He is also a noted doodler a talent that earned him a story in this magazine a few years back.
