This is the first report of 1967 for Oregon (and Southwestern Washington). Thus far it has been somewhat of a slow start, primarily due to several mix-ups. But with the summer ahead, we look forward to more interest and activity.

It began on January 18 when the Football Film Hilites failed to show up in time for the meeting. However a dedicated group of alumni and friends of the College stayed on for dinner and an extended social hour.

On April 26 the annual meeting was held at the Mallory Hotel. Sam Martin '27 gave the annual enrollment report, announcing that we did" not fare as well this year as in times past. Out of 29 applicants only eight were accepted.

Chairman Jack Crowell '52 of the nominating committee presented the following slate of officers for the coming year: President, Jud Goldsmith '61, vice president, BobCouklin '60, secretary-treasurer, SumnerSharpe '58. All were duly elected and assigned their duties, with Bob Conklin learning that he was to be head of the telephone committee.

Speaker of the evening, Judge Tom Russell '61, presented an outline of the proposed Alumni College program for the West Coast which will be tried on a pilot basis in September. He gave a brief history of the reasons for and the response to the concept of an alumni college. Alumni interested in Alumni College to take place September 8 through 10 at Alderbrook Inn, south of Seattle, should contact Thomas B. Russell '61, Court House Building, North Bend, Wash. We look forward to this interesting project for our area.
