Evelyn Fleet, widow of Clarence Fleet, writes of sorrow and joy: "This has been an eventful year for me. My son Charles '53, died in November 1991. He was a fine son and I miss him more than words can express. After sadness came joy in April with the birth of Molly Hart Copeland my first great-grand baby who is, of course, adorable. Then in June my grandson Robert J. Beede was married to Katherine Godfrey, a lovely girl. He is a son of my daughter Patricia Fleet Beede. Soon after the wedding I saw the Tall Ships in Boston Harbor, a marvelous sight. In October my daughter and family took me to Bermuda for a week, to celebrate my 90th birthday in November. Eight of us had a wonderful time, and I am finding it hard to reenter the real world.

"Last October (1991) about this time I was in Hanover for a long weekend which was glorious in every way. My husband, Speedy, and I used to spend our vacations there each fall. I really feel it is my husband's second home."

Nancy Talbot has sent sad news of the death on December 2 of her mother Edith Bowen, widow of David C. Bowen. Nancy's address is 134 Long Beach, Rockport, Mass. Edith left a daughter, a son-in-law, and three great- grandchildren. Nancy adds '"Glory to Dartmouth,' always."
