Harold Geilich has written a long, cheerful, very legible letter in pen and ink, something few of us can do nowadays. He is living in the Brittany condo development in South Palm Beach, Fla. He says, "My wife, Martha, and I have been living in the same apartment since 1979, and we are very satisfied. It is the best one of the 50 in Brittany. It is inhabited mostly by Finnish people, some of whom can't speak much English, but we get along. My secretary for 38 years in the Geilich Tanning Company office was Finnish, a very loyal and competent lady.

"Well, here I am still on the face of the Earth, which will probably be a way station for people on the other Earths who make this Earth a place to pick up gas for their trips to other planets. I am convinced we will be finding other planets for a holiday trip. Let's think of something down here.

"It is always sad that one of our number has left this living Earth. Roland Auger was a good friend—he lived in Wheeler Hall where I did. It was interesting to read Vance Clark's report on visiting a place where he lived as a boy. I did that, too, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Across the street lived the famous Dr. Barry Parker, the dentist who invented pulling teeth while using an anesthetic, just after the Civil War, and went around Brooklyn in a horse-drawn wagon shouting 'Teeth pulled no pain!'"

Virginia Schultz writes that her husband, Joe Schultz, died last March. Friends may write to her at 400 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Marion, Ohio 43302. Word has also come from the Office of Alumni Records of the death on September 22 of Harvey Burton. The class of 1921 sends deep sympathy to his widow, Helen, and to Virginia Schultz.
