Ralph Baker writes that he has been living in Avery House in Hartford for three years now. It is a large nursing home which has two places to live, the model apartments and the nursing home, So residents can go to either one depending on their condition. They also have the Heights, which was just constructed, where Ralph goes every Thursday to play bridge from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. There are also bridge games at Avery House every Tuesday. Ralph says, "We are served three meals a day so we are taken care of very well. I keep busy at night listening to Red Sox ball games, golf, Whalers in the hockey season, and football games in the fall."
