Mrs. James F. Craffey (Ruth Malmquist) writes: "Please extend the appreciative thank-you of the family of Eric C. Malmquist to the classof 1922. Dad often said he would like to visit Hanover again, now he'll be there via Baker Library. He would be happy with such a thoughtful and useful remembrance. We thank the class."
Through the years '22 has commemorated departed classmates by compensating Baker from annual class dues for the selection of memorial books. Each volume carries the classmate's name on a special bookplate. Many other classes have similar programs, proudly enhancing Baker's reputation as the best collegiate library in the country.
In recent months '22 has most sorrowfully lost classmates: J. Regan Brown, Harold Burnham, Richard C. Litchfield, Herman S. Oliver, and Haskell Cohn. Obituaries will follow.
Correction: Spenny Smith obviously did not die December 5, 1922. Our apology for this and any other mistake in the obituary.
From 501 total enrollment the class now has 13 actively interested members. We are all ninety-something, and discerning people increasingly dare not ask "How are you? "unless they have plenty of time to spare.
