No Mean Feet

Geography Department Chairman Richard Barff and Jonathan Austen '91 have won an award from the

editors of Environment and Planning magazine for the most innovative article published in the journal in 1993: "'lt's Gotta Be Da Shoes': Domestic Manufacturing, International Subcontracting, and the Production of Athletic Footwear." Austen now works for Reebok in Thailand.
