Microwaving Cancer

Since the 1970s Dartmouth researchers led by radiologist Evan Douple, engineering professor John Strohbehn, and physics professor John Walsh have been developing and refining hyperthermia, a cancer therapy that destroys cancer cells with microwave heat. The treatment is currently in clinical trials in this country and Europe.
