DAM GOOD NEWS

For the fifth year in a row, the magazine you are reading has won a gold medal for College General-Interest Magazines from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The DAM placed first in the nationwide competition, while copping two more gold medals from the organization. One, in the Article of the Year category, which had 300 entries, was for our cover story on John Ledyard in the Summer issue of 1993. The other, in the Special Issue category, was won by our September 1993 take-out on the freshman year, which the judges called "delightful," "great fan," "first-rate," "refreshing."
