What a difference a year makes! Warm weather in the East, flooding on the West Coast, and plenty of news!

Allen Houser writes that he continues to pursue fulltime his love of jazz. (Remember the Modem Men with BobYassin at bass, Don Miller at alto, and the late Paul Roewade at drams?) He recently released his fourth recording, titled "Looking Back," a retrospective, diverse collection of music recorded on location between 1970 and 1986. A copy of Allen's order instructions will appear in Gordy Williamson's '62 Newsletter. Allen also reports on reunion meetings with Bill Hjortsberg and DonMiller. Gatz was in D.C. to promote his new book, Nevermore, while Don and wife Linda heard Allen's band play at Bertha's in Fells Point. Great to hear from you, Allen, and continue to "follow your bliss."

Bob (a.k.a Anthony) Vetrone and wife Barbara sent news filled with holiday greetings from Charlotte, N.C., where they operate, among several businesses, The Gloria Cuisine Catering Service and Restaurant. Noteworthy catering clients include Charlotte Hornet basketball star Larry Johnson (his wedding) and many sports celebrities. Sonjon's U.S. Army experience includes a recent stint in Cuba and most successful competition in the National Ranger T earn T rials, where J on and his partner, although the youngest and least experienced team, finished 17th of S3. Daughter Jennifer, after graduating from Stanford (where she served as CFO for the eating clubs), is now a research analyst for Risk Management in Menlo Park, Calif. Bob and Barbara's other daughters Deanna and Suzanne continue to excel academically in college. Despite hectic work and travel schedules and many civic duties, Bob serves as president of the Charlotte Dartmouth Club. Viva les Vetrones!

Holiday cards and greetings to '62s were received from Judith and Eric Matthies from sunny Florida, and Sidney and Bob Reed, from rainy California. The Reeds also report their pending purchase of a 75 acre retirement ranch in their home state of Montana. Your loyal class officers all sent best wishes in antic- ipation of our May 12-14 "55 in '95 Frisco Birthday Bash." The festivities will commence with early Friday check-in at Pan Pacific Hotel, (800) 533-6465, reception at DaveDeWilde's, winery tour and luncheon with Jay Fritz, 55 birthday dinner, and much more! Hope to see you all!
