Although no formal reunion was planned for our class, Dave Orr '57 of the Alumni Relations Office sent an invitation to the June 10 Alumni luncheon to members near enough to make the trip to Hanover. Unfortunately, I was the only one who could make it, so I had the honor of representing the class and sitting with members of 1925, who were attending their 70th. The class of 1945, like 1920 a wartime class, was especially honored at its 50th.

Two members of the extended 1920 family greeted me: Janet Frey Harte, daughter of Al Frey and wife of Edward Harte '45, introduced herself. Janet grew up in Hanover, and I remembered her as a young girl. Sam Spaulding '45 brought greetings from his mother, Hilda Spaulding who is "doing fine" at the Taylor Home in Laconia, N.H.

It was a most pleasant affair. I was particularly impressed by the gracious and efficient way the Dartmouth undergraduates helped to make the whole thing a memorable occasion.
