Now for the newwsss—television reporters', accent—or whatever—Bob Dole. Pop Beckel, downtown Charlottesville, Va., dweller, volunteers for
the Democratic party, also with the Hangjaw Club of Men which (he says) is slightly to the right of Ghengis Khan.
His son Bob, noted political consultant and analyst for the party, lives in Chevy Chase (Washington and Maryland). Like father, like son.
His daughter lives in West Carrollton, Ohio, until her daughter Peggy completes high school. Then they move to New England, where husband/father has job after downsizing in Dayton.
Actor son Graham Carter Beckel busy in Los Angeles; was in Paper Chase and L.A.Confidential.
Pop in early July attended family reunion in Washington Court House, Ohio, founded by Virginians.
With us at Reunion was Alan Beetle, retired professor of range management at Wyoming, who grew up in Hanover where his father was professor of mathematics. Daughter mothers his two grandsons. One son is computer expert, other is special-education teacher. A sister lives in Hanover, another in Dover.
Kendrick R. (Dick) Wilson Jr. rides a motorcycle, plays golf, visits Hanover Inn, which has "best meal buy in New England." Daughter mothers two grandsons. Both sons to Dartmouth; one now manager of Lazare Freres, other buys companies, straightens them out, sells them. Attended "Babcock Bash" two years ago; visited Rangely Lakes recently.
In beautiful Scotsdale, Ariz., lives VinnyWentworth—"if you can't take Beverly Hills, live in Scotsdale"—has two sons, two daughters, grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Bill and Phyllis Yelverton live in North Arlington, Va. Son Bill Jr. runs Prudential Insurance, son Peter is in insurance in Alexandria, Va., son John runs real estate in North Carolina.
