I was beginning to wonder if anyone lived in the Midwest until Jeff Gibberstein wrote while interning at Ford. But he won't be in Michigan long since he's heading back to Dartmouth for a sixth year to finish up his master's degree. When he returns to the East Coast Jeff could easily hook up with some Boston folks, including BrendaEdison, Ali Paris, and Emmie Jones, who are living together. Brenda, along with Sarah Kim,Julie Bowen, Jane Kim, Bevin Jackson, and Bob Geiman, rented a summer house in New-port where they met up with Kevin Fleming,Keith Lenden, EJ Wheelan, and ToddMac Lean. It sounded like Brenda was doing more traveling than working since she spent most of the week in New Haven living with CristyNguyen and Kerri Cavanaugh (both Yale grad students) and stopped in Boston just long enough to pack for the weekend beach house.
Some of the folks listed above managed to get together for the summer Olympics in Atlanta. Lissa Trumbull e-mailed that she, Julie, Jane, Bob, Bevin, Shara Frase, BetsyBillings, Adriana McGrath, Alicia Abell,Matt Witherell, Molly Corrigan, KellyBryson, Shawn Makhijani, BrianWheelan, Dave Zug '94 and Jen Paluso '96 crashed at Shara's place. They saw beach volleyball, baseball, women's field hockey, and track and field. Here are some of the other adventures that Lissa described: "Bevin, Shawn, Adriana, and I managed to get a pair of scalped diving tickets at face value—courtesy of an Atlanta police officer who interrupted our orginal transaction and ordered the scalper to sell us the tickets at face. We were evacuated from a restaurant because of a bomb threat and the stupid award goes to the person who left her wallet on the table but took her margarita we got the pitchers for free though! We ran into a bunch of '94s including Colleen Linehan, Abby Karp, Kiley Barnhorst, and a bunch of AXAs. Lauren Lieberman was also there, and apparently made friends with Janet Evans! One of the best comments of the trip came when we were all in a crowd, hot, tired, and cranky, and looking for a drink that cost less than $5. From the back of the group comes the totally serious voice of Molly saying, "You guys, I just want a Pepsi." Yeah right, Molly, it was the Coca Cola Games, remember?" Not only did Lissa hang with folks in Atlanta but she heard, "RachelWasserstrom took the MCATs, and TobeyBallenger got engaged. Dan Torinus is working at MTV. I caught Chantell Dalpe on her way back to med school in Buffalo, Claudia Ginsberg on her way back to med school in NY, Debbie Rosenberg on her way to business school in Boston, LizKettyle on her way to midwife school at Yale, and Jodi Walker on her way back to law school in New York. Susan LoCurto,Nicole Palczer, Brenda Edison, Sarah Kim, Geoffrey Willison, and Jeff Crisan are still in Boston and doing fine. I also saw Gigi Widham, who is working for an investment bank in Hartford and enjoying the summer." Lissa is still working in Sydney, where she saw Jamie Parks, who was on a proiect in Australia for a few months.
