I was catching up with past e-mails when I noticed one from Jen Lien who is living in the Far East. She will spend eight years writing for Singapore's The Business Times.

What a commitment! Most of us are probably thinking, "What will I be doing for eight months, let alone eight years!" She wrote, "This English major is learning geek-speak faster than the speed of light, because she's covering electronics and information technology news." Despite the long hours, Jen spends time enjoying her other loves—music and literature. She's eager for news from you so write her at 33 Jalan Puteh Jerneh, Singapore 278055 or e-mail her at .

Dan Foster works for Avid Technology just outside Boston. He wrote, "Avid makes high-end video editing software for television post-production and for feature films. You've seen our work in TheFugitive, True Lies, and lots of other recent hits, and shows like NYPD Blue, The XFiles, and ER are edited on Avid products." So how does Dan contribute? "I work on effects for video and news production, so the next time you see a cool 3D transition between two segments on your nightly newscast, you might be seeing my work in action." Sounds pretty exciting!

Of course, it may not be as thrilling as getting married (or so Amy Reed and Joseph Morel hope). Erin Murphy, who is doing some community service in Hanover, wrote that Amy and Joseph's wedding will be "a lovely July wedding (read: a CRAZY PARTY!) in Amy's hometown, Seattle."

Another couple is engaged and plan to marry in the summer of 1997. EricEisenhauer and Elsje Carbone anticipate a "warm" wedding in Rollins Chapel, where Eric's parents were married. How romantic!

I have to thank Dave Jones for that tidbit of information. He also told me some good stories from a certain Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, trip. Of course, I can't reveal too much in these columns but the stories involved Chase Arnold, Bo Brustkern,Adam Dixon, Guy Dixon, John Doyle,Scott Rupp, Vinny Tortorella, WarrenValdmanis, and one other.

You'll just have to find out the details from them.

Dave reported that Brian Bockelman is back from a brief stint as an English teacher in Poland and is living with SeanArnold in NYC. Sean just returned from Colorado, where he met up with Dave vanHome, Steve Taylor, Matt Fornari, and Josh Templeton. Dave wrote, "Josh is headed to Fenario (no relation to Matt Fornari), La., to write his second novel."

But no one knows where ZanderLichstein is heading since he took off one March Sunday night for a trip around the country with Sean Flennigan '94. Perhaps we'll have more on Zander's whereabouts when one of you runs into him at the local Stop and Go.

Rodrigo Martinez wrote that he is "trudging through [his] second semester at the University of South Florida College of Medicine." Strangely enough, he added that he had "nothing particularly spectacular to report." Attending medical school just isn't all that spectacular these days, I guess.

That does it for this month. Don't forget to call, e-mail, fax, or write! Since I prefer written communication, I'm not going to even give yon my phone number. But please send me news.
