APRIL 1996 Larry Geiger,

OK, we're getting down to the short strokes. Reunion '66, a celebration of the 30th anniversary of our graduation from Dartmouth, takes place June 13-16 in beautiful green Hanover. A mailing will arrive in early March. If you haven't acted yet, now's the time. So far ISO classmates have said they definitely will or will probably attend, bringing with them 128 spouses and 79 children. So you, and the family, will have plenty of company. Chairman Jack Bennett and his team have been working tirelessly to organize the weekend, building in plenty of educational opportunities for the industrious and plenty of plain old kickback time for the rest of us.

A sure-fire highlight will be a session with Dartmouth professors who actually taught us. Scheduled to reminisce about the "good old days" and update us on the present are (in alphabetical, not chronological, order) Colin Campbell, economics; Al Converse, engineering; Roger Elliot, psychology; Noel Perrin, English; and Bill Slesnick, math. The session will be in 105 Dartmouth at 10 am on Friday, June 14. Get there early!

One guy who got there early was GaryBryson. Gary was a pioneer in expanding the communications and information services available via cable. After running an operation called Tele West for US West and TCI, which focused mostly on Europe, Gary is now president of Sky Connect, a "digital video startup" involved in cable advertising, based, like Gary, in Boulder, Colo.

"Demanding, exhilarating, exciting, humbling, sometimes frustrating, and always surprising." What is it? Rick Reiss' description of his duties as managing partner of Cumberland Associates. (We should all be as enthusiastic about our job.)

And Rick should know what it's like he's been with the New York investment management firm for 17 years. He also serves on the boards of Dartmouth's Rockefeller Center, Barnard College, and the Manhattan Institute. Bonnie is a trustee of New York University Law School. And Lauren, 20, is a tennis-playing sophomore at Harvard while Michael is a Trinity School sixth-grader. Make plans to attend Reunion. It's guaranteed to rekindle wonderful memories and make new ones to last a lifetime. Or your money back (right Jack?)
