Times like these I really miss the East Coast. Pictures of snowdrifts and ice look a lot better knowing that it's sunny and 62 degrees outside my window. At least there should be plenty of snow for Carnival, and Penny Breed was kept busy heating the Upper Valley with her fuel company, Johnson and Dix. Penny seems destined to realize her dreams within earshot of Baker's bells as she came of age there and now lives in Lyme and works with her husband, Dan, out of Lebanon. Not a bad way to go. Eleazar would be proud.
One of our more reputable classmates has managed to avoid this space since graduation, but her time is due. Leslie MandelKatznelson is alive and well in San Francisco. She recently enjoyed a stint at KJAZ, a local radio station, and now is back practicing business litigation with Jackson and Wallace when she's not helping to sculpt some of the finer bodies in The City as a personal trainer. Leslie and husband Craig are loving the life of Northern California and it was certainly good to hear so.
Chip Vetter is also loving the life. George is making quite a name for himself as a managing director for Montgomery Securities. He and his wife, Melanie, live in the shadow of Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley with their children, Anne 2 and Matt 4. Chip maintains his rower's build through rigorous training, attacking the hills and dales of his Marin environs with his mountain bike or hip boots.
Justin Aro continues to cultivate his private reserve of petroleum in Belgrade, Mont. The Big Sky country seems to suit him well and he it.
Attempts to contact John Sewell were in vain, although it was reassuring to know that he was working for Coor's and their minority utilization program. I was looking forward to speaking with the man who likely has the most entertaining picture in our freshman book. Leave it to John to be working for a beverage company.
Adam Samuels is helping to keep Apple Computer afloat. He maintains the company's integrity despite all rumors to the contrary. He lives and works near the company's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.
That's about it for now, so as DavidKlinges' 2-1/2-year-old Gracie would say, "Give me a kiss. Give me a hug. Give me a head-butt."
Keep up the good work.
