There are times when I'm absolutely positive that this is definitely, unquestionably the wrong job for me. Times like last month when this lonely, single, couldn't-buy-a-date-with-a million-dollars (did I say single?) guy gets only mail about his classmates' weddings. But enough about me.

On September 9 Dave Previte and Erika Beisler were married in Farmington, Conn. They live in Unionville (just west of Hartford), where Dave is an actuarial consultant for Aetna and Erika is the associate director of admissions at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury.

Their wedding party was filled with classmates—Melissa Roche, CourtneyWilliamson, Daryl Marshall, Al Ba, and Mark Briggs. Melissa works in commercial production in NYC, Courtney is one of the house faculty for the Ethel Walker School, Daryl is a consultant for MCA in Westport, Conn., Al has slowed his globetrotting enough to move back to LA, and Mark has his own consulting firm in Middletown, Conn. Anne Briggs, JeremyGraves, Lauren Greenberg, UrsulaJackson, Barb Lucas Jeffress, PeteNelson, Kathleen Patten, Lisa Spears,Stu Streuli, and '94s Jana Friedman and Michelle McKenzie were also in attendance.

Did I mention that I was free this weekend?

For those of you who didn't have the chance to see Amanda Roth and meet her fiance Michael Salzhauer '84 at Homecoming, you blew it. Now he's her husband. They were married in December. Nicole Rabner was one of Amanda's bridesmaids, joining Doug Chia, AndrewBeebe, Meredith Katz, Arianna and Sabrina Pagani, Michelle Apigian, and Jeff Nathanson at the event. Amanda is living, working, and taking classes in NYC. She didn't say anything about this Michael guy. Nothing.

If you go out on a date with me, I promise to put your name in this magazine, or not.

Not quite married yet, but another longtime Dartmouth couple were engaged on New Year's Eve. Jennifer "Clell"Huffman and Bill Meyeringh are deep in the midst of planning a May 1997 wedding. Bill used the tried-and-true "ring in the champagne glass" proposal—it was wonderful. Jennifer and Bill began dating during that blissful, hedonistic season familiar to us all, sophomore summer. Jennifer and Elvis mailed the announcement from Memphis, where she currently lives. She works for Coopers and Lybrand as a health-care consultant. She will soon move to Miami, to cut down on the commute, where Bill has his own computer business. She hopes to perhaps "quit her job and become one of those ladies who lunch." Heather Gunas and Scott Quesenberry are going to be in the wedding party. Heather is finishing a joint J.D./M.P.H. program at UConn and Scott is about to graduate from Emory Law School.

I'm also free Sunday through Thursday. And now news from someone who is neither married nor engaged (as far as I know). Frank McPhillips is studying at Columbia Law, where he claims to be the only '93 enrolled. Last year he taught the related fields of history and earth science (?) at the American School of Tangiers in Morocco. Frank reports that RosalindEmmit is at Teacher's College and that Shelby Meyercord and Nicola Zesiger are both first-year students at Columbia Business.

So, you've got my address, but if regular mail is just too darn slow to speed your proposal my way, check me out live on the Internet! .Cool.

If you don't hurry, you may have to wait in line.
