Reunion weekend was a whirlwind. The weather was beautiful, although what summer weekend at Dartmouth would be complete without a flash rainstorm, especially during a picnic. Of course everything had dried up in time for dinner at the Bema under the stars. It was wonderful to see nearly half of our class up in Hanover, including some spouses and little ones. Kudos to Robin Bryson and her committee for an outstanding event! I did glean some news over the weekend, but I made a conscious effort not to walk around with pad and pencil taking notes. Here's some of the information people were sharing....

Erik "Rezzl" Resurreccion is studying at Bank Street College of Education, and teaching elementary school (third grade, I think). Drew Reichert is at University of Pennsylvania Medical School, and has plans to be a pediatrician. EddieGilmartin is studying ecology at the University of California, Davis. DianaGoldberg is leaving New York City and moving back home to Denver, where she plans on freelancing after covering the Oklahoma City bombing trials. I had previously announced that Deb (van Winkle)Dulsky was a mom. She was joined at Reunion by a few other classmate-parents. Kathy (Flynn) Lawson brought along four and a half month old Mark, and Gene' Buttrill brought lots of pictures of his two cuties.

Johnny Sun dropped a line to say that he and Yumee Shim '93 were married last June and are now living in Philadelphia. He keeps in touch with Joo Choi and BenShim, who are both living and working in New York City. Ben is engaged to be married this year. Johnny asks that anyone in Philly who would like to get in touch, please e-mail him at .

One exciting part of Reunion was the election of a new class executive committee as well as new class officers.

Rich Gomez, who is still living in Chicago and working at Quaker Oats, is our new class president. A few positions were left open: newsletter editor, head agent, mini-reunion chair. If you are interested, or have a suggestion on who should fill one of those spokes, you can give Rick a call at (312) 348-8020. Kara Struck will be class secretary, and fortunately she has e mail, for those of you who are so inclined: . For the rest of us, Kara's snail mail address is 3300 Tamarac Drive #A302, Denver, CO 80231. Speaking of e-mail, the class of '91 does have a web page. You can contact Geoff Bronner, who is still up in Hanover, at .

I have enjoyed receiving and sharing our class news over the past five years, and now that I am leaving the post of secretary, I am willing to give in to all of the people who have been nagging me to share a little of my own news. After four years of working as a regional director of a North American Jewish high school youth organization and assistant director of the regional summer camp,I am going back to school. I will begin my studies in rabbinic school this summer in Israel, where I will be for the first year of my program. I will return to the United States next summer, and will pursue the remaining four years toward my degree at the New York campus of Hebrew Union College (which is the Reform rabbinic seminary), and, I hope, will have been ordained a rabbi by the time our next reunion rolls around. I will finally have an e-mail address (it figures I need to leave the country to get it!), although I would love to receive mail at the following address as well: Sue Shankman, c/o Hebrew Union College, 13 King David St., Jerusalem 94101 Israel. Have a great year!
