I hope everyone had a great time at Homecoming, and that those of you who attended are now excited to share all the news and gossip with your fellow'91s who were too busy working, studying, or roaming the girdled earth.

Shana Porter shared some exciting news with me: Christine Kappaz and Dave Boals '90 got engaged in July! Both live in Washington, D.C., where Chris works at the World Bank, and Dave works for Fannie Mae. Congratulations!

Other exciting news has been coming in from all over the world. Christian Kull, on a Fulbright, is now studying geography in Oslo, Norway, for nine months. Previously he was working at the World Wildlife Fund in Switzerland. While there, he had the opportunity to vacation in Madagascar, which, from his description, sounds like an incredible experience. He also reports that Joe Bachman is "learning a lot about trucks, bad roads, corruption, and Africa, working for his cousin in Zaire! But by now he might be back in Wisconsin for hunting season ... ?"

Adrian Baskey, another Fulbright Fellow, just completed his M.A. in development economics in London. He recently headed for Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he will be until the end of June 1993. He can be contacted at this address: c/o U.S.I.S. Dhaka, P.O. Box 97200, Washington, DC 20090-7200.

Brendan O'Day spent last year in Paris as a Fulbright Fellow studying at Lycee Montaigne. He is now teaching French and coaching at the Hebron Academy in New Gloucester, Maine.

It seems that many '91s are receiving top honors. Mo Flannery received a scholarship from the Windham Foundation of Grafton towards her developing career as a professional lighting designer. Among other duties, Mo was the master electrician and shop assistant at the Weston Playhouse last summer with the help of the Windham Foundation grant.

I've picked up some other news through the grapevine. Rachel Stark (whose boyfriend works in my building), began her first year at NYU Law School, where SaraSteinberg is a second-year student. I passed Mike Parham while crossing Madison Avenue today, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to talk (it was one of those double takes, and it was 8:55, and we both had to get to work). So I'm not really sure what he's up to, but he's not the first '91 I've seen on the street in New York—l know you're out there! I'd love to hear from you, and I'm sure everyone else wants to know where you are and what you're doing, so write it in!
