Because of the very sad loss of our Class Secretary Scoof Newton in November 1996, I have been asked to write the column for the great class of 1925. It is both an honor and a daunting task as it will be difficult to fill the shoes of the charming and witty Scoof.

Larry Leavitt and Ellie Norris, class treasurer, represented the class at Scoof's funeral in Concord, Mass. Gertrude, we will all miss Scoof very much.

In mid-November I saw Larry Leavitt, looking great, on Club Officers Weekend, where I was accompanying husband Dick '52. Larry is busy as head agent and helping me with news for this column. Also saw Ken McDonough, my father-in-law, in Arizona. At 93, he whips around in his golf cart and is expecting ten family members for Christmas.

The Dartmouth-Princeton game was great even though we had already won the Ivy League championship. The game's the thing! Go Green! Enjoyed the lovely postgame reception given by the Dartmouth Club of Princeton. The occasion was poignant even for Dartmouth fans as it was the last game to be played in Palmer Stadium, the second oldest in the nation. Grandson Richard O'Neill, 4, D'14?, loved the Tiger tails but wants to go to Dartmouth!

Please send me your news. I want to keep you up-to-date on plans for the 75th in 2000!
