The Homecoming pregame party was its usual roaring success. The new format of sharing a tent with the '70s worked out fine and of course, guaranteed no rain. The whole weekend went well and next year will be even better. We are getting good at this type of thing. Skip Kessler was in charge and will repeat next year aiming even higher. Mark your calendars for the weekend of November 1.

At our class meeting, several items were discussed that I will pass along to you. First, we are trying once again to get our class project off the ground. Those of you who pay your class dues are aware that a portion of them are set aside for an as yet unspecified class project. We have some ideas that are currently being pursued. Somehow, I was railroaded into being in charge. I will keep you informed.

The next item of business dealt with a class BBQ. The idea is that classmates will hold get-togethers all around the country on the same day this coming summer. We hope to be able to somehow electronically link all these gatherings and thereby create one gigantic Tower of Babel. Once again, I got saddled with being in charge. That usually happens only to people who don't show up for the meeting. Anyway, you could help by volunteering to be the BBQ host in your area. Otherwise, I will have to try to find classmates to help or the idea will die. Also, if anyone works for a communications outfit that can help with the link-up, please get in touch with me. Thanks.

A third discussion centered around our 50th birthday party, to be held in NYC in the spring. You will receive more information soon. There were other items discussed but I can't remember what they were. Dave Prentice will detail them all in the newsletter.

I am not sure but I believe that we were the last class to graduate before Dartmouth officially went coed. As such, it is hard to contribute to the theme of this issue. However, as the years have gone by, our class has benefitted from the hard work done by so many of our wives. This last Homecoming party was catered by several ladies whose enthusiasm and class spirit rival our own. I will mention no names for fear of omitting someone. Our wives in general should be congratulated for simply putting up with some of the nonsense that goes along with being a Big Greener.

You may have noticed that there is a dearth of classmates' names in the above. That changes when you write. Take care.
