The Hood Museum has been awarded a $100,000 initiative grant by the Henry Luce Foundation to support a four-year project designed to make the museum's collection of American drawings and watercolors more accessible to both scholars and the public. The Hood's collection of 1,600 pieces includes works by such leading artists as John Singleton Copley, John Singer Sargent, and James McNeill Whistler.
