Fine. I have one arm in a cast, so these Notes will be mercifully short. The injury, you ask? You don't really care, do you? You just want your Notes.

Stan Smith and his wife, Julie, had their first child. Jennifer was born on Easter Sunday, 1997. Stan recently published two books. One is. a collection of solve-it-your-self mystery puzzles titled Five-Minute Whodunits. The other is a book on management titled The Sacred Rides of Management: How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Work. Both are available at Barnes and Noble. Stan and family live in Wilmington, Mass., where he is the town treasurer/collector. My arm hurts.

Howard Morse has left his job as an attorney for the Federal Trade Commission. He's joining Drinker, Biddle & Heath as a partner, where he'll focus on antitrust in high-tech industries. His wife, Laura Loeb, is also a D.C. attorney. They have two daughters, Elizabeth and Marni, and live in Potomac. I think my stitches just ripped.

Tom Ryan and Maribeth Hourihan Ryan have a new baby girl. Casey (am I spelling that right with my one arm?) joins the rough and tough Tommy Ryan as Falmouth, Maine's coolest family. Parents are both cardiologists. How 'bout a little Vicodin for the effort here?

Scott Stuart and his wife Lisa (it is Lisa, isn't it?) had baby three at Thanksgiving. Nate. Scott Nathaniel Stuart. They didn't ask my opinion. Jessica and Garratt are very excited about having a little brother. More nannies in the compound. Scott lives in Greenwich and works for KKR, where they rule the world.

Blood just came through the cast. But at least you people have your Notes.

Happy now?
