At age 70, retired Dartmouth professor of government Vincent Starzinger appears to hold this Homeric rowing record: 50,000 miles on the Connecticut River in a single shell over a period of almost 40 years. Starzinger speculates: "There may be a few other old coots with mileage like this, but have they kept track?"
The "Zinger" rowed his way into the recprd books.
