CLUB NEWS

Francis P. Howland '57 was named Club President of the Year during the annual Leadership Weekend gathering in Hanover in September. As president for the past years he has helped the Dartmouth Club of Cape Cod organize 12 events, book awards, interviews with all local candidates for admission and a range of community service projects. His club also received kudos, when the College recognized its 500 members as Medium Club of die Year; honorable mention went to the Dallas club. Other awards and recipients included: Small Clubs of the Year, Southeastern Connecticut and Hampton Roads (Virginia), honorable mentions to Sarasota and the Women's Club of Boston; Large Clubs of the Year, Silicon Valley and the Midwest, honorable mention to Suburban New Jersey; Metro Club of the Year, Los Angeles, honorable mention to Philadelphia and the Upper Valley.
