For those of you who missed the 25 th, the party was nothing but outstanding. Those who made it back to Hanover were not disappointed. Our final classmate head count was somewhere in the range of 160-170, with spouses and kids bringing the grand total close to 500 people. Our class set a new 25th Reunion record of more than $1.4 million, thanks to the hard work of Chris Pfaff and his "deputies" Jim McCulloch, Chris Gates, and Jack Thomas. The weather was good, the beer cold, and the memories warm and now somewhat fuzzy.

The "Right" Rev. Paul Dixon blessed this group several times during the weekend, including a heartfelt sunny Saturday morning rap session in Bema with Jill and Rick Woolworth, Alice and BruceWilliamson, Catherine and Rick Ranger,Steve Sandberg, Angella and WaltSingletary and his family, Linda and PhilStebbins, Chris Gates, Silence and NatWeeks, just to name a few. See Ranger Rick's newsletter for details, especially about Jill's moving new vocal version of "Desperado."

Activities included trips up Moosilauke, golf, tennis, street hockey, dancing, picnics at Storrs and the DOC House, and dinners at the boathouse and in Alumni Gymnasium. Saturday night we were treated to speeches and a special tragic-comic Shakespearean monologue performed by professor Peter Saccio. The whole thing was emceed by our Hanoverian hosts BuckBecker and Tom Csatari. We couldn't have asked for more (you definitely had to be there).

The highlights for me were two special panel presentations. The first occured on Friday and, moderated by Tom Csatari, featured Dr. John Wennberg, the famous health services researcher from Dartmouth Medical School, along with yours truly and Jim "Bro"' Miller. Our topic was "Health Care in the Twenty-first Century," and was well received by those who attended.

On Saturday, we hosted a seminar on leadership moderated by your class secretary and featuring cameo appearances by BillCarpenter, Charlie Bass, RickWoolworth, and Nels Armstrong '71 (director of Alumni Relations). World renowned professional leadership guru (and brand new daddy) Jay Conger phoned in all the way from his home in LA. to kick off what ended up being a truly insightful and lively discussion. Priceless!

We ended the weekend with an hourlong memorial service in Rollins Chapel for 28 of our classmates. This spiritual time put the whole weekend in perspective and made us all feel very lucky to have each other.

That's all for now. Check out our class website at for some pretty pictures and more memories.

Keep in touch, too.
