Josh Heikkila writes with an interesting "not-your-averagel-wedding" story. It's the story of Andy Smolenack's wedding this past summer to Agnes Kiss. Andy and Agnes were married in July in Agnes' hometown of Budapest, Hungary. "It was a beautiful ceremony and reception, almost completely in Hungarian, but everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly (as far as we could understand!)," writesJosh. "The vows were in Hungarian, too, so I hope Andy knows what he is getting into." Andy and Agnes met in Florida, and now reside in Virginia, where Andy flies jets for the Navy. Other '94s in attendance at the wedding were Ryan Bradeen and MikeDarin. After the wedding, Ryan took a short trip to Prague, Mike traveled around Europe for a month, and Josh spent five weeks doing some volunteer work in the town of Osijek, Croatia, which is still rebuilding from the '9l-'92 war with Serbia. "It was quite interesting to be there," writes Josh. "It was at times difficult and depressing, but also lots of fun." Thanks for the update, Josh, and I hope all is well with you and all your well-traveled friends!

Justine (Wruble) and Pete Fahey were married on June 26 at a beautiful outdoor ceremony at The Hildene in Manchester, Vt. They sent in a gorgeous photo that is filled with Dartmouth folks, and in case we don't get to publish it, I will at least try to include all the '94 names that Justine has given me. Among the many Dartmouth folks in attendance were '94s Lauren(Ferguson) Varney, Christine Shaw,Laurie (Senn) Zimmerman, Kirstie Krall,Andy Ruckh, Bill Thomas, Sarah Cook,Sheila (Bassiri) Ahmed, Matt Collins,Todd Carlson, Jeff Richards and DaveRissmiller—and who knows how many more! There were many, many more Dartmouth folks there (including the spouses of many of the people mentioned above!) so if you don't see the photo in this issue, look for it in an upcoming newsletter! Congratulations, Justine and Pete, and thanks for sharing your news!

Stan Kowalewski and his wife, Traci, proudly announce the birth of their second son, Andrew John Kowalewski on November 1. "He joins 19 month-old Brendan in our home in Greensboro, N.C.," writes Stan. Things are also going well for Stan in his work life, as his company Phoenix Advisers enters its fifth year of private investment management for Japanese and Middle Eastern clients. Their offshore fund, Phoenix Capital Offshore Fund Ltd., ranks as one of the leaders in the hedge fund industry for three years running. Stan credits much of his company's investing success to senior investment anlayst Chris Umscheid. Congratulations on all of your successes, Stan, and thanks for the update!

John Brennan shares his big news that "on August 26 atop Plymouth Mountain in New Hampshire, I asked Heather Marie Dowell to marry me. She said yes, and we will be married in Washington, D.C., on March 25, 2000." Heather is a professional ballet dancer and an instructor at the Washington School of Ballet. John met Heather through her family, as he was their martial arts instructor. Hance Oliver '93 will be John's best man and Ted Cooperstein '84 will also be in the wedding party. John is looking forward to catching up with many of his old Tri-Kap friends at the wedding. Congratulations, John!

OK, I'm out of news. Please call your Dartmouth friends and take notes while they're talking. I can't wait to hear from you.
