These Notes are written in February when we are digging out from quite a snowstorm here in Hanover. But it did not set them back more than a couple of hours here. We love it! Back in September, Mary and Nick Sandoe departed from New England to live back in Claremont, California, where they have more family and where Nick worked for 22 years. The new number is (909) 624-2446. Whi1e Frank Aldrich was in Washington, D.C., to fulfill his role as a director of the Pan American Development Foundation, an arm of the Organization of American States, he dined at The Army and Navy Club with Christine and Bob Steiner. Frank writes, "Bob is a resident of Washington, where his expertise in economics is much in demand in both the private and public sectors—a classmate of which we may be proud." Frank also received a nice 2000 greeting from Martha and John Holdridge. John was only with us at Dartmouth during freshman year before he took an appointment at West Point. He then combined the military with the diplomatic, being among the first United States personnel to take up station in Beijing, China, following the reopening of relations with mainland China. John is now at West Winds Farm in West Virginia or at 7209 Mac Arthur Blvd., Bethesda, MD 20816.

George Miller announces his marriage to Bertie Merrigan on October 14,2000, at Boulder, Colorado. They will be at home from October to May at 13555 Pond Apple Drive, Naples, FL 34119, and from May to October at 7120 Cedarwood Circle, Boulder, CO 80301. Don Sisson is still keeping close track of the class and I thank him for it. He sent a newspaper clipping of February 3, 2001, reporting that Lee Kreindler is still the lead counsel for 150 families of the American victims of the Lockerbie bombing that killed 270 people. Charlie English writes of his change of address from a house in which they had been for more than 12 years to an apartment nearer their closest relatives at Wiesenau 14; 61476 Kronberg, Germany. Do not forget the class mini-reunion at Queechee, Vermont, September 28-29, 2001.
