We asked graduating seniors what they would place inside a class time capsule. Here's what they told us:
"The September 12, 2001, New YorkTimes. The incident has to be the most important thing that has happened in my 21 years." —Jean Simeon '02
"My Aires [a cappella music group] folder of music. Every Aire has a folder from his freshman year. By the time you're a senior, it's breaking and you have to duct tape it." —Eli Jorne '02
"A picture of Food Court when it's full." —Jeff Garrett '02
"A Quarter Pounder. I think in 100 years we won't rely on the cattle industry as much." Christina Hoe '02
"My thesis—provided it gets finished." —Alison Gilles '02
"A salvaged piece of burnt wood from the bonfire. As a freshman, that was the first night that I felt both at ease with being a college student and connected to the Dartmouth community." —Sylvie Liberman '02
"An orange cone or one of those triangles for all the construction we have to put up with." —Scott Gabbard '02
"A medal of the German poet and satirist Heinrich Heine given to me by professor Susanne Zantop my freshman spring. It would help me to remember the many conversations we had and commemorate Susanne for the entire College for generations to come." —Saleela Salahuddin '02
"A brick from the old Kiewit building. It was so ugly. I was always in awe of its lack of aesthetic value." —Allan Klinge '02
