Rand Beers '64 has become special assistant to President Bush and senior director for combating terrorism. He was formerly assistant secretary of state for international narcotics and law enforcement affairs.

Curt Welling '71 has been named president and CEO of AmeriCares, an international and domestic disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization based in New Canaan, Connecticut. In May AmeriCares was preparing to deliver more than 80,000 pounds of medical supplies and clothing to Baghdad.
