ACHIEVEMENTS AND HONORS

Frank Weber '47 and Jim Griffiths '65 recently received Dartmouth Alumni Awards, and Jeanhee Kim '90 was recognized with the Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award, presented to active alumni who have shown significant service to Dartmouth post- graduation. Weber, of Ridgefield, Connecticut, is retired from marketing at Shell Corp., where he worked for 30 years. He has served the Alumni Fund and his class as newsletter editor and class president. Griffiths, a long-time Upper Valley resident, has worked as an English teacher at the Thetford Academy, in local drama and in a rock band. He chaired his 30th reunion and mini-reunions, served as class president and worked on the reunion giving committee. Kim, a freelance writer and editor in New York City, has served as class secretary and on the committee on trustees and the editorial board of Dartmouth Alumni Magazine. Vernon Baker 75, vice president and general counsel of auto- motive supplier ArvinMeritor Inc. in Troy, Michigan, has earned the 2003 Trailblazer Award from Diversity & the Bar magazine for his efforts in advancing diversity.

Eric D. Schwartz '91, a neuroradiologist from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, has received the Dyke Award, which recognizes young investigators from the American Society of Neuroradiology.

John Hueston '86 will take a leave as chief of the U.S. attorneys office in Orange County, California, to work on the Enron Task Force, pursuing prosecutions in the largest bankruptcy case in U.S. history. The novel Loverboy by Victoria Redel '80 of New York City is being made into a film—due later this year-starring Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Matt Dillon and Marisa Tomei.
