Hello '02s! As usual, I have more wedding and engagement news to share from our classmates. Aly Rahim wrote, "My fiancee, Zaileen, and I were married on August 6 in Montreal. We had our ceremony at the Ismaili Muslim Center of Montreal, which was followed by a reception at the Montreal Intercontinental hotel. We were lucky to have many close Dartmouth friends join us for the celebrations, including '02s Chris Heiss, Jen Amoroso, Dara Lee, Sabeen Hassanali, Radha Neelankantan, Mirian Barrientos, Romero Hayman and Vikram Kumar."
Megan Steven wrote to fill us in on two big changes in her life recently. First, she finished her Ph.D. at Oxford and moved back to Dartmouth for a post-doc. Second, her boyfriend Kevin Wheeler proposed on August 20. She wrote, "He arrived home and surprised me with a new puppy. Around the puppy's neck was a bow and tied to the bow was a beautiful ring. He popped the question. I said yes!"
Heather Kofke-Egger wrote with news of many of her friends. Heather and her husband, James Kittredge '01, are living in Tucson, Arizona. She is working as a Web developer for the psychology department at the University of Arizona whilejames pursues his masters degree in theater studies. In July Heather went to Seattle to visit Dave Smith, Ted Smith and Darren Lund. Jackie Kung, Carolyn Marsden and Christina Weiland came too and they had a great time hiking, canoeing and seeing the sights. Darren returned to the United States in December after two years of teaching English in Japan and traveling in Asia and Australia. Christina was engaged to Stephen Lee '99 in February on their fifth anniversary. Heather wrote, "The couple has yet to set a date, which is too bad because I'd love an excuse to get everyone together again!"
Nicole Campbell graduated from Boston College Law School in May and, after some muchanticipated traveling this past summer, joined Gunderson Dettmer, a firm specializing in emerging growth companies, in Waltham, Massachusetts, as an associate.
Finally, I personally have been taking advantage of my elective time on my clinical rotations in veterinary school to visit and catch up with some of our classmates. I was able to see Molly Johnson at the Connecticut shore before she headed off to Ann Arbor to begin her master's of Public Health at the University of Michigan. I caught up with Chuki Lord in New York City for an evening before she headed off to Athens, Greece, to begin training for a new job in an as-yet-undetermined foreign locale. And last but not least, I spent a week visiting Allison Stuntz, Mark Bubriski, Andrew Langworthy and Allan Klinge, who all seem to have settled into some interesting pursuits in Washington, D.C.
That's all for now. Keep sending me updates!
