Greetings! By now the holidays are behind you and everyone is well into 2005.1 hope you and yours had an enjoyable time with family and friends. News is scarce, so cut a guy some slack and start sending some news. What little I have came primarily from Christmas cards, so bear with me. Fern Bennett Phillips wrote from Maine that her two daughters are at Colby College in Maine and the Middlesex School in Massachusetts. Dave C. Clark in St. Louis wondered why we hadn't rubbed the Red Sox World Series results in after defeating St. Louis. Clarkie, after 86 years of World Series drought and two defeats by the Cardinals, I, for one, can't see getting too uppity no matter how good I felt about it. We'll just enjoy the moment and hope for the best in the future.
Fraser Marcus wrote updating his where- abouts and goings on for the past few years. Af- ter leaving Salomon Brothers in 1992 as head of European M&A, he co-founded a private equity firm, the Chief Executive Partnerships, which fo- cused on mid-cap buyouts of U.K. businesses. In 1999 he sold out his interest in that and joined ING Barings as co-head of investment banking. This past summer he left ING and has estab- lished a multi-family office advisory business and acts for a number of super-high net worth British families. On the personal front, he married in 1980 and had a son, Austin, in 1992. He separated and divorced in 1997. This past May in London he married Rhonda Bovarnick. Rhonda is the former head of European marketing for Sprint and is from Boston byway of Carnegie-Mellon undergrad and Columbia M.S.A./M.A. Between the two of them, they are staying active and serve on the boards of various charitable causes in and around London. They welcome classmates traveling to and through London and look forward to making it to the 30th.
Speaking of the 30th, it seems hard to believe that it's only about 18 months away. Start doing what you can to clear your schedules to make sure you can attend. Finally, if you like hearing about what others are doing, do your share and send me some news. I know everyone's caught up with kids in college, weddings, 50th birthdays, etc., but get motivated and send some news. Stop relying on everyone else to keep us informed!
Best wishes.
