It's been a couple of slow months for Class Notes news—so send me some more updates!
Nathan Swift wrote, "I'm still in London after finishing my first degree at the Royal College of Music. The RCM invited me to do a second postgraduate degree this year. To support this, Dartmouth awarded me with a James B. Reynolds Scholarship for 2004-2005. For two weeks this past summer I was in France, where I was singing a minor role in Flotow's Martha and George Bizet's Pearl Fishers. For each of the six performances we received rave reviews and standing ovations! My first term at the RCM this past fall included auditions for the Benjamin Britten International Opera School and several international competitions. Also, I'm still working for the BBC part-time and teaching voice in a studio I recently opened."
In mid-October Tommy Dewland completed the Ironman Triathlon on the island of Hawaii. His total time for the grueling 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run was 10:48:41. Congratulations to Tommy on this impressive feat! In November I learned that our of- ficial class artist, Kimberly Soderstrom, is living on Miyako-jima in the Okinawa archipelago of Japan. Checkout her Web journal at www.kimsoderstrom.com. When I was in Vail, Colorado, during the holidays I spent some time with Kristin Shigley, who has been living and Working in Vail since graduation. For the past couple years she has been working for a local doctor, and she will be attending medical school in the fall—location to be decided! Finally, Jenny Hall wrote: "Eben Darling '99 and I just got engaged a few months ago and will be getting married in Hanover over Labor Day weekend. Also, in January I'm going to start working for Price water house Coopers as a tax accountant."
