With snow on the ground, Hanover is a beautiful winter wonderland. And our classmate Tom Parkinson is looking forward to a successful recruiting class from early-decision candidates to boost the fortunes of Dartmouth football. Tom is on the executive board of Friends of Dartmouth Football and in that capacity has built the e-mail list of supporters to more than 2,000 from 400. Many good things are going on with Buddy Teevens'79 and the football program, and if you wish to support these efforts, and Tom, please contact friendsofdartmouthfootball@ earthlink.net.

Terry Lowe has spent his career teaching and coaching at Greenwich High School in Connecticut. He is known as the "father" (or should I say "grandfather") of water polo in the area, having started the program at Greenwich 32 years ago. GHS has won several Eastern championships and Terry has had a.804-win percentage as coach and has sent players to the best polo college programs in the East and California—only one to Dartmouth, however. His coaching activities have taken him all over the world. Terry picked up a masters in arts and teaching from Wesleyan just after graduating from Dartmouth. In 1995 he was honored as the National Football Leagues Teacher of the Year. San Francisco 49er QB Steve Young, who Terry had in math class for two years, nominated him for the honor.

Mike Moore came to our grand 40th reunion with his wife, Lynn, and mentions that he enjoyed seeing his Chi Phi brothers and spouses. Mike is the senior guy in a law firm he started in Boise 12 years ago. Although he is still active at work, he is finding time to travel—recently making trips to England and Vienna—and is taking some fun history classes at Boise State.

Steve Cochrane is a retired Army Reserve colonel with a Ph.D. in East European history. He remains active in the Reserves, where he conducts annual seminars on defense and security issues, among other activities. He has been in Germany as U.S. Forces liaison officer for Baden-Wurt-temberg (Stuttgart) for the past 16 years—it is a civilian position. His office is in a neo-classic vil-la ("it's worth a visit—y'all come")- (P-S. Didn't know Stuttgart was in the south?!) Steve indicates that his role as liaison is intense at present due to Army transformation plans that will affect the area. Steve says he is pretty isolated from other '64s and would love to see members if they are traveling to the Heidelberg-Mannheim-Kaiser- lautern-Stuggart area.

I am sad to report two deaths in the class: Konrad Von Moltke, who is survived by his wife, Annabelle, and four children; and Wilmer Faust 111, who is survived by his wife Janet. Writing for the class, we extend our sympathies to both families.

Regarding a mini-reunion, Ed Williams is making plans for a get-together in June 2006 in Washington, D.C., that will tie into our class intern project and the Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth. Please let me hear from you. Bring on the spring.
