Dave Gavitt '59, who played on Dartmouth's 1958 and 1959 Ivy League championship basketball teams, has been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts

David Corkins '88. formerly the portfolio manager for the Janus Mercury Fund, has been named the new manager for the $11.2 billion Janus Fund, Colorado's largest mutual fund.

James. C. Grotta '67, M.D., a neurology professor at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, has earned the National American Heart Association's Physician of the Year Award for his work in stroke prevention.
