I actually have some Green Card news and would be grateful for more. My predecessor Doc Tower sent words of encouragement. He feels kind of tied down these days since his travel is limited. There are no classmates in his retirement community, just one '38er. Son Dana '71 keeps him in touch. Jim Garnett and wife Catherine now live in the assisted living section at 3131 Simpson SW 304, Evanston, IL 60201, where they had a cottage for 11 years Jim calls their retirement home "the best in the country, best facilities, best programs, great fellow residents."

Mike Ellis wrote in May that he and Betty have sold their home in Beaufort, North Carolina, and expect to move in late summer into the Galloway Ridge retirement community just outside Chapel Hill. He will send their new address when they know it. Ted Wolfe now lives in a retirement complex in Sarasota, Florida, to be close to his daughter Judith, who he finds hard to believe is 66 years old.

In early June Ev and I attended a reception put on by the Dartmouth gift planning program for Bartlett Tower Society members in the greater Hanover area, held at the relatively new and very attractive McLane Lodge at the Dartmouth Skiway. We were delighted to find Fred Upton and wife Beth there and to learn that Fred has come through several very serious cancer surgeries with flying colors.
