Paul C, Zamecnik '33, a senior scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital and oncology professor emeritus at Harvard Medical School, was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society.

Stephen Farnsworth '83, a University of Mary Washington associate professor of political science, has been named a Fulbright Scholar at McGill University, where he will work on an international media project comparing international and U.S. media coverage of the U.S. government.

James. C. Grotta '67, M.D., a neurology professor at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, has earned the National American Heart Association's Physician of the Year Award for his work in stroke prevention.

Harry "Bing" Bryden '68 has been elected a fellow of the Royal Society of London. A professor of oceanography at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, his work involves groundbreaking climate research on circulation patterns and heat transfer in the oceans.

Brian Goldner '85, who most recently served as president of Hasbro's U.S. toy segment based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, has been promoted to chief operating officer, responsible for Hasbro's North American toy and game operations.

John Osborn '88, president and CEO of advertising agency BBDO New York, has been named a "Young Global Leader" by the World Economic Forum. He will participate in the 2020 Initiative, a project to understand trends and their impact on a global level.

Catherine Tucker '93, a former assistant district attorney in Massachusetts, is the new insurance fraud prosecutor for the State of New Hampshire, based in Concord. The first to fill this newly created position, she'll coordinate insurance fraud investigations and prosecutions.
