Come to Florida for the summer? A few days ago, with a 92-degree reading in Vero Beach, New Jersey, was recording 105 in the shade. Speaking of Vero Beach, the director of cardiac anesthesia at the newly established Heart Center at Indian River Memorial Hospital is Walt and Ro Lindenthal's son John. Fizz Nicholas reports that '50's $3,000 gift to the Athletic Sponsor Program resulted in the early admission of Jeffrey Onstott, a talented Houstonian baseball player. Bill Carpenter attended grandson Joe's graduation from the F.8.1. Academy at Quantico and came away, proud of Joe and having met many of his 34 classmates, with the strong feeling that our future national security is in good hands. Gerry Sarno had, "The golfing experiencing of my 50 plus years of playing the game!" when he played the Old Course at St. Andrews in June. Gerry reports that crossing the Swilken Bridge on the 18 th hole was a thrill surpassed only by walking down the aisle to marry Ginny and accepting his diploma from John Dickey. Nob Hovde, having sold his Nantucket house after 45 years (15 year round) on the island, has bought a small villa in Naples, Florida. Hobbling about on crutches caused by a torn Achilles tendon for the first three months of a complicated remodeling, he is now walking, unaided. Nob plans to move into his new quarters in the first week of September aided by daughters Veronique, from Vermont, and Laurence, from France, as well as a "decorator type of lady." It was reported to me by a dear friend from our New Hampshire days whose son-inlaw is postmaster in Piermont, New Hampshire, that Joe Msdlicott was working part time at the post office. When I questioned Joe about this, his response was "God, no. I am not working in the P.O.—full or part time." Peter Kilmarx, son of Bob Kilmarx, is the subject of a two-page article in the summer issue of Dartmouth Medicine. Peter is chief of epidemiology at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. He has had a remarkable career. The article is worth reading. You can find it at dartmed.dartmouth.edu under 'Alumni Album."
