In a report much too long for this space, but fascinating to peruse, Gary Clohan '77 relates the saga (dating back to the 19605) of his and Bruce York's respective conquests of the high points in each of the 50 states. (Gary has a future article on their quests in mind). Bruce and Gary each completed the list in 2006 by knockins off Granite Peak, Montana.

David B. Allman was elected in February to a three-year term as a member of the executive committee of the Buckhead Coalition, one of Atlanta's top groups of business leaders.

Steve Bell passed on news of Jim Naylor who made the CBS Evening News in early February in a story on an adaptive ski program in which Jim volunteers in Ellicottville New York. Jim has been involved in the program for many years, originally through his son James, who participated in the program until his death two years ago at age 16.

Jim Beattie dropped a note as he was heading off to ski in Jackson (Wyoming, not New Hampshire). Jim is participation chairman for the Dartmouth College Fund. "The class of 1976 once again showed we are leaders among alumni when we blew away the 30th-reunion year dollar and participation records. We continue to set the bar high for subsequent classes in many ways. For your help and support, our reunion team thanks you!

"Please help us to build on this success by putting your DCF contribution onyourto-do list again this year. You may be contacted by a classmate or a member of Green Corps (undergraduate volunteer) by phone or mail to ask for your donation. If you send in that check or give online (www.dartmouth.edu/~alfund) early you can avoid additional reminders from anyone else. Thank you for maintaining the class of 1976's unique place in Dartmouth history."

Don't make him come after you. He's still in very good shape.

That's it for now. If you want more notes, send more news. Make it up if you have to.
