Both hockey teams earned Ivy League titles this season. The men wenton to lose in the ECACHLsemifinals to Clarkson inAlbany, New York, whilethe women were upset 3-2in the NCAA quarterfinals byBoston College. In basketball,the women made it to theWNIT, where they lost in thefirst round to Seton Hall, andthe men closed the season 9-18 overall, 4-10 in the IvyLeague.
Dartmouth has been recognized for its efforts to combat global warming by the Sustainable Endowments Institute, which annually rates the 100 wealthiest colleges and universities in the United States based on their investments, food purchasing and energy use. Along with Stanford, Harvard and Williams, the College received an A- despite a C for investment priorities because "the College prioritizes investing to maximize profit and has not made any public statements about investigating or investing in renewable energy funds."
Foreign Policy magazine has ranked Dartmouth No, 9 among U.S colleges offering international relations studies—the highest of any school with only an undergraduate concentration in the discipline.
Trustees decided in February to increase tuition by 5 percent, or $1,668, for the 2007-08 school year. The increase is roughly in line with those of other Ivies.
Coming off three straight national championships, the Dartmouth Figure Skating Club hosted the 2007 event at Thompson Arena on April 13-15.

CHAMPIONS! Skiers earned their first NCAA title outright in nearly 50 years by winning the Men's and Women's Championships in Bartlett, New Hampshire, in early March. Lindsay Mann '07, who took fourth place in the women's slalom race to clinch the victory, hoisted the team trophy when the champs were introduced at a March 10 hockey game at Thompson Arena, "When she's having fun, she skis fast," said women's alpine coach Christine Booker. Clearly, Mann was having fun.
