It was so good to hear from classmates. A note from Richard Otto just to let us know he is "alive and kicking, but not very well with a walker and bad illness." Dick enclosed a picture "for my archives"—quite handsome indeed—hasn't changed in 70 years.

A note received from Dr. Robert Mussey prompted a telephone call, during which I had such a warm conversation not only with Bob but his dear wife Jean, as well. Bob spoke of speaking recently with Bob Brown—no one could ever imagine how good it was to speak to a classmate. Please take the time to call a classmate-you have no idea what it does for ones spirit. Bob also writes, "This year's Alumni Fund drive is about over." A substantial gift was made in the memory of Hamilton Mitchell, who passed away in 1996. On behalf of the class of 1938 we extend our appreciation. Also a very happy birthday to Bob, who celebrated his 90th birthday the end of last year with a family reunion in North Carolina.

Another reminder of the upcoming 70th anniversary of your graduation to be celebrated in October 2008. Please (yes, I'm begging) make every effort to attend. I will do everything and anything I can to assist you and accommodate your needs.

Men of Dartmouth give a rouse and shed a tear. Word has been received on the passing of Howard Carey Jr., Warren King, William Sherman, Ben Walkley, Gordon Hunter and Robert MacGregor. More stars in heaven—deepest sympathy to their families.
