A surprise in the mail from Belden Bly Jr.—in the form of a weekly feature for the Saugus Neighbors Section—what a great idea! I hope he doesn't mind my sharing it with you— it reads more like an abbreviated version of ThisIs Your Life. Briefly, this little gem gives neighbors a little info on one of their own neighbors. Belden was/is an attorney, director of athletics at his local high school, state rep and a member of the faculty at New England School of Law. He answered several questions: "Nice people make Saugus special";his hero is "any Republican";whathe would like to be doing right now if he could do any- thing—practice law; and if they made a movie about his life he would have liked to have had Marlon Brando playhim—humph! Way to go Belden, nothing wrong with Marlon! Don't be surprised if you receive something in the mail similar to this—would make great news for our classmates.

Quick note from Bob Mussey: "This year's alumni drive is about over." By the time you read this in August it will have been completed. Our thanks to Bob and the other members of his team who assisted him in this endeavor. Also thanks to all who contributed. Bob brought up the 70th reunion of the class of 1938. He's unsure of what the year 2008 will bring, as we all are. On that note, I hope you will all give some thought to participating. It is indeed a very auspicious occasion—a feat you should all be so proud of—just think, 68 years ago this past June you made the famous walk to receive your degrees and face the unknown. I've seen pictures of that walk, two-by- two, it always was and is an inspiration to me. You have no idea just how proud I am of all of you.

As you read this, fall will be coming. Think of it, fall in Hanover; copper, red and gold leaves, crispy nights, fall skies. And on that note I will quote Belden, using the present tense: "Keep your nose clean." Good advice. Stay healthy my friends, and know that I think of you oh so very often!
