Big Picture: The Sopranos

Laura Choi Stuart '01 (left) and Elizabeth Andrews Roberts '00, whose musical paths crossed at Dartmouth while performing and studying voice under Louis Burkot, reunited in Burkot's Opera North production of The MagicFlute at Lebanon (New Hampshire) Opera House in August. A winner of the 2008-09 song competition sponsored by the Vocal Arts Society in Washington, D.C., Stuart will perform in four society recitals in 2009. Following a young artist performance of La Traviata with the Washington National Opera, Roberts will be singing Gilda in Rigoletto with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra in January.
