Greetings from snowy, frigid Hanover—a winter like grandma used to have. Many thanks to Bob Field Jr., who worked tirelessly putting together a DVD, Remembering the Class of 1943. It was shown at our 65th reunion. If some of the rest of you would like a copy, they may be available for a modest charge; contact Ali Field, 187 Knights Hill Road, New London, NH 03257; alice. field.43@alum.dartmouth.org.

Widower Ernie Ball reports that he's been busy rescuing elderly damsels in distress. Way to go, Ernie!

Kudos to head agent Bing Donaldson for the huge amount of work he puts into his financial reporting about our class activities.

Some interesting statistics about the class of 2012: 16,538 applicants, final class 1,097; 48.5 percent received scholarships averaging $32,855; 44.2 percent are students of color or international, the most diverse class ever; 50 states and 38 countries are represented; 39.2 percent are valedictorians or salutatorians. Aren't you glad we came to Dartmouth in 1939?!

Mark your calendars: Fall reunion will be October 2,3,4.

I'm sad to report the deaths of Errol M. Thompson Jr., Morton Chase Tuttle II, Murray Winthrop Thurston, Kermit Wallace Cook and Anthony Gordon Rud. Our condolences to their families.
